Leaders from the 3rd and 7th De La Salle Scout troops made their way to Larch Hill this Weekend for Recharge. This was the first time De La Salle had attended this event and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Recharge is a full weekend dedicated to give the adult members of Scouting Ireland a chance to meet up and socialise in an informal manner. There was a wide range of onsite activities all weekend. These included fly fishing, wood whittling, leather craft, woggle making, dowsing, DIY buschcraft gadgets run by our very own Jim Doherty, and a wealth of other activities.
The Chief Scout, Michael J. Shinnick was present for the BBQ on Saturday evening, and a great weekend was had by all. We’ll be going back next year!
