De La Salle Scout Group
The De La Salle Scout Group, the oldest and longest established Scout Group in the County of Waterford will conclude its 95thAnniversary with an evening of celebrations in the St Patrick’s Gateway Centre on Saturday evening December 2ndcommencing at 7.15 p.m.
The evening will contain the Story of the Group over its 95 years, some entertainment by the members of the Group and the gathering will be addressed by the Chief Scout, The County Commissioner, The Bishop of Waterford and Lismore and the Mayor of Waterford.
There will also be an award ceremony to mark the service of the present leaders and adults in the Group.
The Group will also hold a church parade to the Cathedral for midday Mass on Sunday December 3rd and all are welcome to come to Stephen St School that morning and parade with the present members of the Group and the pipe band at 11.45 a.m. to the Cathedral.
The 95 youth and 53 adult members of the Group would like to extend an invitation to all past members of the Group and to their own parents and families to attend both celebrations and we look forward to seeing lots of old and new faces.
